Why should we leave the scene of an accident if someone is hurt?

You only ever do this if you are at risk yourself or many others are in danger.

You should organise the administration of the best first aid available to hand and phone for the police and ambulance (and fire service if they are trapped).

Ummm...you shouldn't. It's illegal and immoral. And, trust me, I am not a very moral person. But I would NEVER think of leaving the scene if someone is hurt.

Only if you want to go to jail. Where I live, there's leaving the scene of an accident, and then there's leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. You go to jail for that.

Only if you want to lose your license and end up in jail, if that is your goal then leave the scene. Hit and run, oh and if they die, murder, but then again if that is where you want to be in your life, it is your choice. In my opinion not a real good one though.

The only reason I can think of is if the accident is in a very remote area and you are going to get help. And even then , do not leave the hurt person alone.

We shouldn't, but there are people who do for various different reasons. Some of them might be: no insurance, afraid their ins premiums might go through the roof, driving someone else's car, driving while intoxicated, have a police record, is in this country illegally, someone is looking for them - any number of reasons. You should never leave the scene of an accident regardless is a person was hurt or not.

Fleeing the scene of an accident is considered a hit & run and it is a crime.

THIS IS A TRICKY QUESTION SO LET ME EXPLAIN...

IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT I AM SURE THAT YOU KNOW THAT IT IS ILLEGAL TO LEAVE THE SEEN.

IF YOU ARE JUST PASSING BY AND SEE AN ACCIDENT I WOULD STOP AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT I COULD DO OR JUST BE THERE FOR SUPPORT.

I HAVE HEARD OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE STOPPED TO AS I HAVE SAID ABOVE AND WERE SUED FOR THEIR ACTIONS OF KINDNESS, HOWEVER THE CASE NEVER MADE IT TO COURT BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF TWO REASONS.

FIRST...NO COURT WANTED TO TAKE THIS CASE.

SECOND...THEIR INSURANCE SETTLED OUT OF COURT.

SO THE DECISION IS UP TO YOU, STOP OR STAY, JUST REMEMBER THAT SOMEDAY YOU MIGHT BE IN THIS SAME SITUATION.

It is law to stop and provide aid in any accident scene. The only reason why a person should leave the scene of an accident is if there is immediate danger present.
