Why wont my turn signals light up as parking lights?

I own a 2001 jeep wrangler. my two front signals dont light up as parkers but work fine when used as turn signals i have new bulbs in. Wiring problem? or fuse?

Are you sure they're the right bulbs? If you put a single filament bulb in place of a dual filament bulb, it will bridge the contacts in the socket and malfunction. Also, are you sure they're supposed to light up as parking lights? Some models don't use the same lights for directionals and parking lights. If you've got the right bulbs and they really are supposed to be parking lights, I'd look at the switch. They have multiple contacts inside and can give all kinds of problems when they fail.

Recheck both the bulbs and the sockets, make sure that you have the correct ones in there.
