Will I Be Over The Limit In The Morning?
Find answers to your legal question.

Will I Be Over The Limit In The Morning?

If I go out tomorrow night for a meal with my wife, eat about 8 o'clock, drink 5 pints of premium lager over the course of the evening in bed for about 11pm - would I still be over the limit at 7:30 the next morning?

Probably. A pint of premium lager is now taken as 3 units, so that's 15 units overall.

Even allowing for the counter effect of the food and assuming you have your last drink at say 10:30 that only gives you 9 hours for it to wear off at the anticipated rate of 1 unit per hour for the average person.

Overall, not worth the risk.

You could be,it depends on your metabolism

it takes one hour to get rid of one unit of alcohol, i am not sure how many unit are in a larger. work it out.

nosdda
Most probably yes. It takes about 12 hours for the alcohol level to dissapate.

Won't you be sleepy with a raging headache and "the squirts". Do you want to drive like that? You might not have enough alcohol in your blood, but the toxic metabolites of alcohol will be there making you nauseous. Still, you might have just enough unmetabolized alcohol in your blood if that's our body's makeup.

possibly it depends on your weight, how much you drank, and how fast you drank

You may not be over the limit but you will not be at a 100 percent...

I can have whatever I like

That's about 6 2/3 drinks (by technical standards, 12 ounces of beer is 1 drink. 1 pint is 16 ounces). Basically, you need 13 hours from when you first start drinking in order for the alcohol to be completely out of your system. I don't think you would be over the limit. You would technically still have alcohol in your system, but not enough to be over the 0.08 level.

(0.08 based on legal limit in the US)
