It will not make a difference at all . You will be just as dead. You will not have the time to go through the windshield. The motor in your lap and the top of the car on your head will hold you in nicely. They will have to cut you out , probably in peaces.

HA HA HA HA HA , don't mess with a semi you won't win, I've seen the aftermath of such an accident and the minivan lost it's entire roof lower than the dash , or where it used to be, and the semi only lost a rear axle and passenger side damage , only the truck driver survived.

Nope, that doesn't really justify not wearing a seatbelt though. People have died going 30 MPH because of not wearing a seatbelt.

Absolutely not! I've seen the out come of that and it isn't pretty.

Unfortunately usually you're not the winner. Big Rig trucks almost always win. They are so high up, and they don't usually come out of it harmed, but the people who are driving smaller vehicles are the ones that get the problems.

I don't think that wering a seat belt in this case would help.
But I would buckle up any way, no matter what I'm driving.

Yes, the seat belt will hold the person from flying out of the car.

You could be injured more if you have no seal belts, think physics. Things in motion stay in motion, haha.

This is a very strange question! What exactly are you trying to find out?

If a car and a rig crash like you say, then the car would probably be crushed into an unrecognisable lump of metal and anyone inside would be killed.

I would say that wearing a seatbelt would improve your chances by the tiniest fraction over not wearing one as you would remain in the car and it is possible the car would be able to withstand the impact, but either way you would probably be killed.

It would make things a lot easier for the emergency crew cutting you free, especially if there are passengers since you would still be in the wreckage and not splattered against the trunk and all over the road.

yeah why not

No, and neither will air bags.
Travelling at anything over 60mph is stupid and unneccesary at the best of times.

it really depends most on the size and crash rating of the car
the height and shape of the front of both vehicles
the height and weight of the driver of the car
and if you are a religious person

Anything is possible in an accident so no one can answer this correctly.........

It'll keep you from flying through the windshield, but that's about it with the big-rig (if it doesn't just drive over the top of you and flatten the car (and you) like a pancake first. The other 2, the same - it'll keep you from flying through the windshield, but you'll have more of a chance to survive those 2 scenarios - esp. if there's an airbag.

jackshen
yes it will. driving in the 80 km/h while the other vehicle drives on 60km/h,the car and the truck bang each other.you must be careful of you distance of driving of the other vehicles and your speed limits in the speedometer.
