It depends how many anchor points there are on the roll cage - some criss-cross the backseat (meaning you can't have people there) but up to around a six point roll cage will just go around the inside of the car and not impede on the interior space too much. It depends what you're using the car for - if you want to race a car, you'd usually strip it for weight anyway (no back seats as they're really heavy!) and put in an eight or twelve point roll cage - this means they have more bars and more points where it is welded to the chassis so is more safe. A six point half-cage is usually good and safe for old cars - you'll have to modify the back seat to allow the side bars down to the chassis, but you can still fit all your seats and people in.

depends on how many mounting points- if it's a full race cage with door bars or a 4 point bolt in makes a big difference...so does the car it's in (seats may be removed)

be more specific in asking your question, we don't even know WTF kind of car you are dreaming about

15.
your talking about your passenger van right?
no seriously it depends
some roll cages let you maintain the amount of people you can have, but they often are not as stable.
some take up all the room you have with crisscrossing supports.
but thinking about it... are you racing with people in your back seat?

Foe most cars you will loose 1 to 2 seating positions because you do not what the person sitting too close to the cage...........
