No. The idea is to get out of the emergency vehicle's way. In general, it means to pull over to the right side of the road, but sometimes that is not possible. Also, if the emergency vehicle is traveling on that right shoulder, you should not pull over to the right as you would be blocking it.

In fact, in California, the law has been rewritten to clarify the idea that a driver should do what he can to help assure the emergency vehicle can get by as quickly as possible. That means pulling over to the LEFT if necessary, and allowing other drivers to may way.

Never ever stop in front of an emergency vehicle that is approaching you from behind. Alot of drivers will panic and stop and this can cause problems for that emergency vehicle. Being a volunteer and paid firefighter/emt I drive multiple emergency vehicles a day and run into this problem all of the time. When people stop in front of an emergency vehicle approaching, the emergency vehicle has to slow down and cannot pass you if traffic is coming in the other direction and this in turn slows down the emergency response. When you see an emergency vehicle approaching you in your rear view mirror, do not panic, and look for a safe place to pull over to the right side. Do this as soon as possible but do not do this if it is not safe. You dont want to cause an accident for yourself or the emergency vehicle.

The driver of the emergency vehicle should not be tailgating or "overtaking you" as that's not the way us emergency responders are taught to drive, and can cause accidents.

The goal of an emergency vehicle is to get to the scene of the emergency safely, and that means by not causing or being in an accident on the way there. So just be calm and pull over to the right when it's safe to do so.

If the emergency vehicle is overtaking me from behind I will pull as far to right as possible. If the emergency vehicle is coming at me and no other traffic is around I won't even slow down because I am not impeding it's progress. However if there is traffic in front of the emergency vehicle and both are approaching me I will again pull to the right.

you need to pull over and let them through
you can stop if you like but do so safely

The emergency vehicles have the right of way
if they are going to a fire,
accident scene

The people would be the police
ambulance
fire dept

no move to the right, it is not necessary to stop unless you are on a two lane road then you may need to pull over and stop in this case.
