Women: Do you lock your car doors when you drive?

I do..... When I started dating my boyfriend who lived in a not so great neighborhood, he encouraged me to lock them all the time. Now I have my car doors locked all the time except when I am actually getting in. You just never know whos going to be high on something and try to steal it or hurt you. Good idea and keep spreading the news!

Mine automatically lock when I start the car.

Yes I do. I know that if something is going to happen it will if my doors are locked or not. It makes me feel a little safer in this town.

The way my truck is designed, I can lock the doors and when I'm ready to get out, I can open the driver's door by just pulling the handle...no need to unlock it. The other doors stay locked.

Most of times I don't only because I forget it! I think it's a good pratics. In Italy (I'm italian) as well as in Usa is dangerous drive with the open doors....Like you said some guy could hop in when you're in a stoplight! I always think that!!!

Always. I grew up in the Detroit area. I live in middle-of-nowhere Ohio and I still do it.

Absolutely. too dangerous not to these days. The police even recommend it. For instance the latest scam for car jacking here (sydney australia) is to run into your car from the back and when you get out of the car to swap details, attack you and steal your car. So i always lock the doors and dont stop or get out of the car for anything other then a life threatening (ie bad accident i come across)incident.

It is a good idea to lock the doors female or male. I'm truck driver and I lock the doors on my truck when I'm driving or just sitting in a parking lot. I have heard to many stores of people not locking the doors on cars and semi-trucks.
