Would God give me signs and signals?

If I wanted to receive an answer from God.. So on some paper I wrote either Yes or No for instance to a question that I had and I wanted it to be answered. So I would prayer to God.. ie God am I stupid? I then asked in my prayer for Him to guide my hands to one of the folded up bits of paper which stated either Yes or No.. I then selected the note which said Yes after unfolding the paper.. Was that God answering me? The thing is, is I did ask God to answer me through this method, infact I was unambigous about it, so the answer I got I was unequivocal that it was God answering me.. Now all I keep thinking is God thinks I am stupid then.. as I asked for God and God alone to answer and a promise that it was His Truth and Word to me.. What are all your thoughts?

You did the right thing to seek God first. Way to go! If you need an answer from God say a prayer to God SILENTLY. Do not say it aloud, at least for now. Since you are asking him for an answer, you don't know if the enemy got involved and had you pick the Yes. For now, just trust that He will guide you in the right direction and open doors if that was really Him, than doors should open (at least some of them). Of course, the enemy will still try to confuse and stop you. So remember to ask Him Silently the next time and you will feel more secure that it is truly Him. A.S.K.

Try the same thing 10 or 20 times. If it genuinely was god, he'll give you the same answer every time you do it.

On the other hand, if you get approximately a 50:50 split between 'yes' and 'no' answer (which you will if you do it enough times) then it can't have been god, can it?

I think you are humanizing "God" too much.

I personally believe that the god that you are thinking of has no effect on this reality, therefore, it was your own subconscious that guided your hand...your own free will.

Obviously I can't speak for god,But in my opinion god has spoken through his creation of everything.It's not for us to question god. Especially on trivial matters, and simple yes / no questions.Only you can answer the questions you ask of yourself.Because only you know how much effort you put into something and only you know if you feel satisfied with what you achieve.

no it wasn't god, it is more likely to be someone you lost many years ago or even before you were born. It could even be a spirit guide, but it is not god....

God does not work that way, he/she is not a piece of putty in your hands that you can tell what to do, and make him sit and play silly games with you, you just picked yes by chance. God will answer your prayers in more round about ways, it won't always be so precise.
