Human bones can break if you jump out of a 6m window. A semi-trailer of mass say 20 ton ( 20,000kg ) travelling at 25 metres/second ( 55mph sorry about the metric conversion ) has a momentum so great that it probably wouldn't even feel an impact. 25metres/s is approx. twice the distance of an average home travelled in 1 second !! Don't try this at home children for you'd most certainly be history. This would make a good physics question for high school students.

yes. 18 wheelers weigh in at 40 tons and as the person is standing/walking would be in an upright position or he would not be a pedestian. Even conventioal trucks stand 6 feet at the hood (cabovers are around 10 feet) so the entire body would be hit as a single blow. The impact would cause internal injuries that would probably implode the organs if not the entire body.

There are too many variables to answer your question. Too many factors influence the severity of an accident and resulting injuries or loss of life.

I have seen people take much worse than that and still survive. The human body has it's limits...but there are no set ones. It's different with every person and every situation.

most likely the initial impact might not kill them but you have all the tires after the grille, its possible though

i am a truck driver i have seen many crazy things . i have never had a deer to live that i have hit with my semi. weight compared to some human so no you will not live ....... on june 6 or 7 of 2006 i seen something that botherd me for many days that happened as i was walking across the trk stop parking lot. there was a lady that was walking across the parking lot and another trk come by not paying attention and hit her with his front fender enough to knock her down and then his trailer tandems run over her from her waist up . she didnt live the driver was 87 miles down the road b4 he was stopped we could not get him to stop or catch him b4 he got of the parking lot .... birmingham, alabama at the pilot trk stop was where this happened at...

If they get run over by the truck, but they can get injured if they just get hit and pushed off to the side.
