yes, it is a parenting issue as teens do not properly learn how to behave responsibly when getting behind the wheel of an automobile. I do not call them "accidents" when alcohol and recklessness are involved. The are more appropriately called "violent crimes". Crashes that kill and injure kids and adults alike could be reduced a great deal with parents knowing their children better. |

I agree with you 100 percent and many parents do take care of this issue but yes a lot do not care at all and this is why the age should be raised and they should have longer and more intense understanding of driving and the rules of the roads....
Drivers age 15- to 20-years old accounted for 12.9 percent of all the drivers involved in fatal crashes and 16 percent of all the drivers involved in police-reported crashes.
Twenty-five percent of teen drivers killed were intoxicated. In 2006 (latest data available) crashes involving 15 to 17 year olds cost more than $34 billion nationwide, in medical costs, property damage and other costs, according to an AAA analysis. |

You can teach a kid something but once they step out into the world on their own, they have to make their own choices. Sometimes, they make the wrong ones. |

SOME parents may be helping their OTHER kids with their English grammar and spelling homework.
Are you suggesting that once a teenager gets his license, that they never be allowed to drive without a parent in the car? |

The parents are home going "Not my responsibility. Not my fault." |

The fact that you are posting the question while inebriated is unfunny, however, it is easy for minors to do things without their parents supervision. The fact that it is forbidden makes it even more enticing.
Though I think you are faking, I must ask: Have you not ever done anything that was below or against your parents' approval? |

let your parents be with you every time you go out and see how fast you get sick of it. Kids want their parents to trust them the parent then has to let them do things it is then up to the kid to earn trust< |
