Y changes i speed limits in britain in last 100 years ?

Speed limits increase due to the increase in technology as it relates to vehicles on the road. As time goes by, cars are made to be faster than those of the past because the technology calls for it. Also roads are more stable faster speeds. In the times before modern life, vehicles were not built to exceed the speed limits we have today. That is because the technology was not there. So a lot of it is due to technology. Also as I said, roads are better and more stable. Construction crews have created road ways in these days that can handle travels at speeds that exceed 50 mph.
