I have a question... While at an intersection and you have a green arrow that says you can turn, and the cars that would intersect with you making your turn have a green light to, but they are going straight, and I am the one turning... Who yields to who? Who goes first? The person making the turn or the drivers going straight??

If you have a green arrow, then there should be no other traffic with a green light. A green arrow is a "protected" turn and it means that all other control lights are red.
If, however, you mean green light, and not a green arrow, then, the car turning should wait and yeild to the oncoming traffic. |

Well, if you have an arrow that is green for the way that you want to go, then there should be no traffic coming the other way. If you just have a green light for your whole side of traffic which is what it sounds like you mean, then whoever is crossing the other side's lane must yield. So if you have a green light for left, then you must yield the right of way to the other direction.
If you really do have an arrow for a left turn or even possibly right turn, then you can just go, the other direction won't be moving. |
