i have carbon monoxcide monitor,smoke detector,video camera,yes,i'm paranoid with all the meaness,accidents happening these days,sure doesn't hurt to be prepared.what do u think?

I think you are ready for whatever comes your way. There is nothing wrong with being ready in case of any burglary, fire, flood, or carbon monoxide leak. However just make sure you aren't being excessive with it. I think it is a great idea to be prepared. You may never know what happens. If you are un-prepared then you will run the risk of property being stolen or damaged, and someone may be hurt in the process. It is best to have a plan, and it sounds like you have a plan. Just don't get to carried away with it. Also you want to make sure your home is insured for natural disasters. You need to have flood insurance, fire insurance, even insurance that cover's hurricane and earthquakes. My point is that it never hurts to be prepared in case of any emergency. |

You didn't say fire extinguisher. Every home should have one at least in the kitchen, and in the room with a fireplace (if you have one).
Fire extinguishers can also be used to spray intruders if you don't want to use a gun (or baseball bat).
You also didn't say BIG DOG.
