Maintain a firm grip on the steering wheel, brake moderately hard ( not to the point of skidding) and gradually steer to the side of the road. |

slowly pull to the side of the road with your hazards on.
Pull as far off the roadway as possible, and fix the tire. |

safely pull over, kick the you know what out off the car than change the Tyre, leaving it in the boot (trunk) for who ever you share the car with so that you don't have to waist your time getting it repaired. |

Nothing. Lift off the gas Do not brake .In a short period of time the drag caused by the blown tire will more than easily slow you down.
Grab the steering wheel firmly and find a safe place to land.Take a second out an flip on your 4 way flashers.
Try to avoid driving on the rims. In the old days w/ steel wheels you could get away with that for a short period of time w/ today's fragile aluminum wheels , the cost of replacing one makes that a really bad idea.
Basically it's a 10 second problem; If you can survive the first 10 seconds of blowing a tire at speed ,you'll survive the rest of it, |

If your tyres burst while your driving then you should drive the car slowly. if it is due to heating of air in the tyre tube the slightly fill less air in tyres. |

Having had this happen, don't brake, engage in a lower gear instead (possible in an automatic, really girls) and let it roll to the side of the carriageway. Do brake if you would hit anyone though! |

You have not mentioned which type of vehicle are you talking of.4 wheeler or 2 wheeler.?
If it is a 4 Wheeler assuming front tyres burst, highest care should be exercised by way of applying brakes and taking the vehicle to a side slowly. Vehicle should be stopped retaining good control of the vehicle direction. Care should also be taken not to suddenly bump on other vehicles or to fall off from elevated place.
Getting a flat on the back tyre is comparatively easier, in this case applying brakes could be some time tricky.
Two wheelers are some what difficult to handle when the front tyre bursts, chances of slipping is too much, how ever trying to slow down while controlling the speed and direction is the best way.

This has happened to me maybe 2-3 times in my life.
Much more often a tire goes flat slowly, then I discover it is falt when I go to my car planning to go some place & have to change my plans when I see it.
It will be come extremely difficult to steer the car properly, especially if it is a front tire. You need to do several things.
* Make damn sure you remain in control of the car ... keep it going straight
* Get your hazard lights on ... it is better to let the traffic around know you have an emergency, than to try to signal where you are trying to go, because you might have trouble tetting where you want to go
* Get your foot off the gas, let the car coast to a slower speed where steering is easier.
* Get to the side of the road
** I think you are better off getting to the right side than to the emergency strip (if there is one) beside the high speed lane
After you have got the car stopped off of the driving lanes, open up your emergency driver kit (you do have one don't you?) and put out the markers to show that your car is disabled and you could use assistance.
If you have a cell phone, you could call your auto club emergency road service, but if you do not have a cell phone, and auto club membership, or various other problems
it depends on how skilled you are at changing tire, how good your spare tire (if you even have one), if you have alternative system (I have several but they don't work for a blown tiere) ... and approx how many miles walk to closest exit & if that exit even has a gas station |

Slowly pull to the shoulder and call for help. Unless you are in a scary area. I would drive it until I got somewhere safe, no matter how bad I ruined the rim. |

If this happens you need to TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR (put your vehicle in nutural if you have a standard) otherwise begin to coast to the edged of the road the slower you get then you can begin to break " DON'T BREAK RIGHT AWAY YOU MIGHT CAUSE YOUR SELF TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT IF YOUR GOING FAST"
get off the highway if possible
if you have reflector triangles be sure to place them behind your car about every 10 foot so others can see there is a broken down car.if you cannot change your tire or you do not have one but you do have a cell phone call for help even call 911 if your alone and a female "STAY IN YOUR CAR TILL THE POLICE GET THERE TO GET A TOW TRUCK. some officers will change the tire not all will.. but some will. |

if you are alert when the tyre tube has burst , first thing is to change the gear to lowest possible lever and brake to lower the speed simultaneously taking the car to side of the road and stop there |
