If your football, basketball, volleyball or other coach agrees, then no problem.
Putting a couch in the bed of a pickup may or may not be legal depending upon your local statues and how the couch is secured. I really don't see a problem because the Subaru Brat had two seats facing the rear mounted in the back of the bed (years ago). |

Different towns and states have different laws about people riding in the back of a pick up truck. Most places that allow people to ride in the back of a truck require that the riders be inside the back of the truck. Being on a couch, they would violate this.
Assuming that you could legally have someone ride as you propose, you could not charge them. There are special licenses for commercial passenger vehicles. There are requirements for the driver and vehicle. A couch in the back of a pick up would not qualify.
You might be able to do in in South/Central America, Africa, Asia or the Caribbean but not in the Western world. |

People can ride in your truck legally. Why are you putting a coach in the back? A couch though, people CAN'T ride on it legally. As to riding in the back of your truck that depends on State laws. Some States allow it, but it will depend on the speed you are going. |

No you can't. Most states have seatbelt laws that also require proper securement for the seat and the seatbelts. |

I had a small couch in the back of my truck one time. I prefer to put the couch ontop of a old truck hood and then attach a long chain from the hood to my bumper and have my friends ride the couch while i drive around a field at 30 mph. You should try that instead its a lot of fun! Best when theres snow on the ground! |

No, absolutely not. There are strict rules governing both vehicles for hire, and vehicles carrying more than 7 people. You need different insurance and a different license for one thing. |
