tail-gating while driving?

Its not only stupid, it is dangerous.

To those who do tailgate... I have my 2 kids in the back seat of my car, and if you hit me, chances are they will get hurt, and I don't care how bad you are hurt, I will drag you out of your car and kick your *** for being such a d*ckhead and risking my kids lives.

You aren't going to get there any faster driving this way, please don't do it.

IN perfect conditions, you need more than 4 seconds total cushion on your front and back together. If noones behind you, you should default by following the car in front of you more than 2 seconds back (pick a fixed object and count bumper to bumper using mississippi's). If another car gets closer than 2 seconds to your back end, then add time to the front.

I call them an idiot who doesn't know how to drive, but that is the same thing as an aggressive driver. Well unless you are the idiot who doesn't know how to drive and we are getting to a passing zone. In that case I'm "tailgating" you so that I can get around you. It's not my fault you want to drive 40 in a 55.

Add: I see Yo Man is pretty big about being an IDIOT himself. Talk about a HYPOCRITE. Oh I hate idiot drivers, but then I become one to try to teach them not to be one. Yeah welcome to 2nd grade, can we PLEASE grow up when we are driving a WEAPON that is called a vehicle.

Just an idiot. Aggressive is more like speeding and passing. But my car has a button I can push that makes one of the red brake lights light up to tell the other driver to back up and it works probably 75% of the time

what i do everything is i go a little slower than traffic speed , than as they try to over take you or cut you off , i will suddenly gas it and not let them go pass me , that's how i teach them , you want to be fast ?well over take me first LOL
and i just use the car beside me to box him in so i am going at the same speed with the car beside me , and the idiot will have no room to pass , and soon enough , he will get so p*iss off and that will make my day
but anyway , safety first ! let them do whatever they want

I wouldn't necessarily call them aggressive or a bad driver. It could be both those things, but some people lose track of their speed on the road sometimes, so they might accidentally get a little too close to another vehicle. I HATE it when people tail gate me. One time, I was driving on the interstate, across a crowded bridge over a lake, and this person in a green Impala got all up in my ***, he swung around to the side of my car really fast, pulled up in front of me and turned in my lane, almost hitting the front end of my car. My dad was riding with me and we were cussing them out, flipping them off and stuff. I sorta get road rage when something like that happens. But yeah, try not to drive like that.

yes and no. The best thing is to let them get out of your way. If you are in the left lane and they want to pass then you should realize that you are in the wrong, however when people do it and have no way or reason for it such as on a one lane road, I do the same if I am alone in the car. Slam on the brakes and gun the gas to wake them up when it's necessary. Usually it works.

I would call someone who wants to hit the brakes to teach someone else a lesson aggressive or an idiot. I would call the tailgater a victim.
