truck ran into toolbox after being fixed in yard?

had cv joint and lower ball joint put in. i started truck and put in reverse,took off emergency brake,and it rolled into toolbox(few feet away). brake went all way to floor.
when mechanic changed cv..he mustve taken off the calipers and put them back on(my guess he had to push the caliper back so he can get back on, which in turn left the brake decrease to the floor), which were not pumped back up.
my insurance does not included collision. so therefore i must see if theres any way not being my fault in this matter.
no damage to my truck,but truck went hit toolbox and landed on another car in garage which was minimal damage(scratch on next to grill)
