2. What kind of care do the children get prior to adoption
3. Is there any records kept on history of mental illness in the family or children

My husband and I adopted a healthy be it very small 8 month old baby boy from russia. While he is a beautiful sweet boy he suffered from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Reactive attachment Disorder, and ADHD They think he may now also be on the outside spectrum of autism. The road has been hard, and alot of it could have been prevented with alot of love and support in his early time.

Well my aunt recently adopted and you really need to know exactly what country you are going through to tell you more about the adoption process. If you are doing something in country you need to know medical history, eating and sleeping habits, social habits, but all of these questions are inquiries about a specific child. Most times you need to go through several years of home studies, waiting on dossier papers, ect. My aunt went through a christian adoption agency in china, where her questions were answered well
