A letter from adopted daughter to birth mother?

its part of a project for english, so is not necessarily what you would really say, it is going to be very open and talk a lot about feelings about the adoption and towards the birth mother
what would you want to write?
just researching for ideas and feelings you have towards your birth mother if you are adopted, or feel free to say how you would imagine you would feel if you are not really adopted

Before I met my birth mother, I wrote her a letter in my head a million times. Usually it was a letter of questions. Here's a list of things what I would have written, that eventually I asked her in person.

1) Why was I adopted? Didn't you want me? Why didn't you find a way to take care of me? (all of these are pretty much the same question and depending on my mood which one I used as some of them are a bit more accusitory than the others)

2) Where have you been?

3) Did you ever wonder about me?

4) Did you ever look for me? Or see a girl about my age with brown hair and wonder if it was me?

5) Do I have siblings?

6) Who are you? What do you like/dislike?

7) Did you love me? Do you still? Do you miss me?

8) Are you sad/sorry you didn't raise me?

9) what would you di differntly if you could?

10) If/when we meet, will you stay in my life or will you disapear again?

I think the first question for anyone would be the why. They would want to know the story behind their conception and birth. Also anyone would want to know about potential brothers and sisters.

I would include a list of my questions. The biggest question for me was always: Why?

Since you would have no idea how your letter would be received, I recommend that you not be too open. Things could go sour, and that letter might end up being used against you. For instance, don't reveal things that you wouldn't want, for instance, a casual acquaintance to know.

Don't make any promises.

well if your life was good you might thank her for making the choice to give you a chance for better things. if not you might feel angry betrayed , feel like you were thrown away
