I adopted from Africa myself, but only after hitting an impasse with foster care here in the US, and after researching many countries and programs to find the one that I thought was most honest and where there was the greatest need.

If you're serious, your family should really spend some time researching the experiences of older international adoptees. There are a lot of issues involved, especially with older children who have more trouble adapting to a different culture and language. Plus, your family may have some trouble adjusting to having a new teenage boy in the home. It's stressful for everyone and it would be best if your family prepared by looking into what others' experiences were like.

I adopted a sibling group of four children aged 3-9 who have done really well and seem quite happy with us, but we've all had to do some adjusting.

Well, since you said "i reallllllllly want to adopt..." and "i would want the teenager..." and "what websites would help me ?" and "what other information would i need to know ?" why wouldn't we interpret it as YOU want to adopt. I think the use of "I" and "me" kinda set the tone.

Other then that, I don't know...or I don't want to help you. Take your pick.

Well, then why don't you adopt a black boy from here in the US? There are many in foster care who need a family and live right here in this country.

International adoptions
International adoptions can be conducted in respect of a child upon the application of two spouses who are not Kenyans and who are not in Kenya provided that legal requirements to that effect are met.
International adoptions are processed through an approved foreign adoption agency in conjunction with a Kenyan adoption society registered to make international adoption arrangements.
So far the adoption committee has approved 2 foreign adoption agencies (Help a Child(German based) and Stitching Africa-Netherlands ) to make arrangements for international adoption in conjunction with Kenyan adoption societies registered for Int'l Adoption.

$ is not the most important thing if you're adopting a child, why does he have to be from Kenya and why does he have to be 14 or 15, just type adoption into google and look through the adoption agencies or something

You aren't old enough to adopt, you are a teen yourself, or you were 3 weeks ago.
Further, removing a grown boy from his home, his country, his native language, and his culture is a bit extreme. If you want to help 'teen boys' in Kenya, become a teacher or an aid worker, then get your butt over there and do some good....by helping kids remain with their families.

at the start of you post you keep saying 'I" so of course people think you are speaking of yourself. If your parents were really interested in adopting then they would be searching for this info and it probably wouldn't be here. No reason for you to get rude to people. They were only responding to what you said in your post. And NO, you cannot adopt anyone, your parents maybe but not you.

Adoption can be kinda expensive ranging from 4,000 to 40,000 dollars. Some websites that might help would be americanadoptions.com they can help you to know where to start. Also you and your family should get together with others families that have adopted....they can help you learn the pros and the cons of adoption and also what to expect throughout adoption.
