You should adopt a baby from the US.
Help our country before you help others.

Do you mean what she needs to adopt the baby? Or what she needs to take care of it? Here are the Korean Adoption Requirements for obtaining one.

Requirements for the A.A.C.
Korea Program
For a Healthy Infant:

1. Must be at least 25 and no older than 42 - for a female child and no older than 43 - for a male child. (Age at the time of application)
2. Married couples, married at least 3 years. One divorce for each member of the couple is acceptable. Singles not accepted.
3. Most parents reside in Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. California and Wyoming will be easier to get permission from Korea. We can work with other states close by on an individual basis.
4. May have no more than four children at home.
5. There is a weight requirement for parents please call A.A.C. for more information. (This is a peculiar requirement to Eastern Social Welfare, SWS and their affiliated agencies) Parents may not weigh more than 30% of what is considered normal body weight for their respective heights. Your agency, if it's affiliated with Eastern or SWS, will have a weight/height chart for your review. Holt and Korea Social Services do NOT have a weight restriction.)
6. You are not required to travel to Korea; baby will be escorted to the United States, if you choose.
7. The adoption is finalized in the United States. A petition for finalization usually takes about six months. AAC will petition the court for Colorado families. Post placement period is six-months.
8. Fees are roughly $24,000 for adoptions.
9. Family Income: $25,000 minimum.
10. Infertility: No restriction. However, no more than 4 children already at home.

The same thing you would need for a baby anywhere. Diapers, clothes, formula. toys, bath stuff. And love, in great huge bunches.
The age of the child will mean that perhaps they have had certain native foods, but mostly rice based cereals, Your mom will talk that over with the people in korea.

Shawn
I am korean, all you need to have is a lot of rice.

I agree with Hunters mommy, you need to reword your question or you will get rude answers. Plz don't call any living being "IT" for starters.

And plz specify do you want to know what one needs while starting the adoption process or bringing a baby (age) home ?

She couldn't see that you learned to write properly. She can't figure out the adoption process on her own. What makes her feel she's worthy at another chance?

about $25, 000 extra dollars. international adoption is costly. i kinda understand why, but in a sense i dont. b/c those kids are more in poverty than our orphan kids, but they charge more for them b/c of legality and other bs. but thats about right. im in the adoption process, but im not going international b/c of the cost and the fact that there are enough orphans in my community. but good luck and i wish you and your mom the best

what do you mean by we are adopting "it" from korea?

i'm one of those "it"s from korea.
i'm one of those children loved "as if" they were their own
i'm one of those adorable little things people "gotta have"

this attitude about adopting children from other countries just makes me want to kill myself. whereas i'm not against adoption 100%, i am TOTALLY against the acquisition of children for selfish desires and the total disregard of children as human beings.

this international adoption thing IMPACTS us.
-we are acquired.
-we have no choice but to irreparably be severed from our culture and heritage.
-we can't communicate in our new country.
-we are shown off like souvenirs.
-we are assimilated and lose everything that formed us.
-we are subject to racism in our new society.
-we are regarded as different even by our own families, because we ARE different. it's a horrible difference to reconcile. no matter how hard everyone tries to get around it, our difference is a fact.

the vogue of having little international babies of color has got to stop.

the disregard for these children as human beings and their feelings and emotions, and the rupture of their lives and the additional unnecessary trauma of being sent overseas to foreign lands needs to STOP.

we are not playthings.

we are people.
