So my best friend is adopted by her aunt but her aunt doesnt treat her well so my mother wants to adopt her. I want to know information about what is needed and process. My friend has very good reasons why she shouldnt be living with her aunt. Please help its urgent

Since her aunt legally adopted her, the only way to have your mom adopt her is if the aunt signs over her parental rights or social services takes your friend away. There has to be good proof, like neglect, abuse, etc before your mom can even be considered. There also has to be no family that wants her if she is taken away from her aunt. Your friend can ask the court for emancipation if there are really good reasons, thats probably the best chance actually. Hope I helped |

Your mom cannot adopt your friend unless the aunt allows it. Adoption is not he answer here. If your friend is being abused, then someone needs to go to CPS. You mom might can get approve das a foster home and have her live with you guys as a foster child. |
