Been her "Dad" since she was 9 and she didn't get any contact or support from her father until just recently. I was wondering if its difficult to do this and would it be easier since she is 19?
Additional Details
I figured it would be, just you see in google that its contacting biological father when they under 18, but nothing solid on adults.
Fort Worth Texas is where I am at so I am looking and thanks for the input.

Adult adoption is surprisingly easy in most places. Often it is just a matter of going to the courthouse and filling out some forms, paying the filing fee and having a judge approve them. Depends on where you are, of course, and it would be easier to give you solid facts if we knew the country/state/province etc. you are in. |

That is not true. Anyone can adopt anyone, no matter what the age. It will cost, however. |

most states allow adult adoptions. It should be a fairly easy process and you do not need her bio fathers permission now that she is 18. contact an attorney |

As she is legally an adult, if she consents it's a simple matter of filling out and filing some papers.
Adult adoptions are fairly common. |

I'm no lawyer, but you cannot legally adopt an adult (over age 18). You can (and sounds like maybe have) adopt and support her in every other way- emotionally, financially, etc. After age 18, this is what counts. |
