Adopting whilst training to be a Nurse in the UK?

would it be okay to start adoption proceedings whilst studying? I plan to take a break when the adoption is finalised.

It's going to take at least 8 months to get approved then depending on how 'open' you are depends on how long it will take for you to be matched. For example if you want to adopt an infant it will probably be a long wait as not so many are up for adoption these days, however if you want to adopt an older child/siblings it becomes quicker. That gives you a good idea whether to start now or later.

adoption proceedings can take a very long time so there is no reason why you cant get the ball roling now. how long have you got left of your training?
