Adoption Section Epidemic?

Why does a person call you out in their question and then block you so you can't respond to them?

It seems to be happening a lot lately. Sounds like a hit-and-run to me. What do you think?
Additional Details
Thanks for the advice, BPD. Good in theory but, unfortunately, once you are blocked, you can't report them.

a healing adoptee
I have been gulity of doing this calling people out, but I don't block them from answering my question. I have let certain answers get under my skin. I have yet to block anyone. Even Noodlesmycat. I have yet to block her, probably will because she will call me a bad name if she answers here. I don't always agree with people on here but i don't block them. I agree is was a hit and run tatic. It shouldn't of happened. But since I have called people out, i really can't say much!

Good question, I have another one. When you write an answer and simply say what you think about someone why do you get reported and deleted when the truly henious answers of some are not deleted?

I really honestly don't care about having an answer deleted, I do care about people being called out and not being able to respond in any way all much less a postive or informative way. I agree it is a hit and run type thing isn't it?

At any rate I need to go my noodles are on the stove for my spaghetti! I don't want them to burn!

I'm all for hit and runs directed at me. I work at an auto wrecker so any kind of hit makes me $$$. ;P

You're right Julie R, it is epidemic around here.

But hopefully, like those anti-carb diets it will be a fad that passes.

When I was a kid, we called kids who challenged others and then ran away from the consequences "chicken shits". If the shoe fits ...

I can understand blocking someone who is extremely offensive in a personal way. I think that anyone who blocks everyone who does not spout a "party line" is a very insecure person.

I participate on Y!A because I like diverse opinions. Although my experience with adoption has been mostly negative, I have learned to respect adoptive parents who strive for ethical adoptions. I also feel that I have been enriched by adoptive parents who share their journey of providing a loving home to children who would otherwise be abandoned.

If you are a poster who needs to block more a few people on Y!A, I think that you need to find a forum where people with opinions that you disagree with are banned or work on developing a thicker skin.

It definitely sounds like a hit and run tactic; I couldn't agree with you more.

Cowboyfan I've never seen you do something like this; why do you think this is directed at you?? Here; I made you some NoodleSalad. Enjoy. :)

What about the yankee doodles that have you blocked, yet show up on your question to respond? I've had that happen a couple times in the last week. It was annoying. I mean, if you want to live in a bubble and not be "subjected" to my answers, pretend I don't exist that's okay-dokey by me, but to follow me around, stalking and terrorizing me like some war criminal is a bit much.

Cowboy Fan - LOL - i'm your example of what you won't block?
ETA thanks CF, that's fair enough!

If people are calling you out in their question, report them! That's the only way the forum is going to be "cleaned up". I've actually seen a difference in the types of questions and answers lately, and have been pleasantly surprised. : )

Thanks to all for helping to keep this a respectable place. : )

There seem to be some REALLY negative people on this site. I am not calling anyone out on answers, but you had better believe that the ones that are judgmental and attack you I don't want to hear from. I want to be educated, not given the riot act because I have not walked in their shoes. Not to mention, if you can't give an objective answer, then it demeans whatever message you are trying to get across. Consideration rules the nation! (Well, it should anyway!:) )
