Adoption information for debate ?

Is there any studies, data, or a website that shows that adopted children are more likley to be unsuccessful compared to children who live with their biologically parents? I am doing a debate and I would like to find out what some adopted children go through physically (such as rape or abuse), mentally (disorders), and socially. I need some facts please...

How about 17X more likely to be a serial killer?

These should help:

As an adopted person who has yet to become a serial killer, I can say that I am a pretty normal person. I did go thru some abuse with my birth mother. However I have no memory of it.
My adoptive parents told me that I would not sleep at night and would run screaming from the room if I was someone take off their belt. I had cigarette burns on my legs, and to this day I cannot stand to be around cigarettes.
My abuse occured between 21 months and 24 months of age and my adoptive parents got me when I was 24 months old. They said it took about 6 or 7 months to get me to where I acted like a normal kid.
Again I have no memory of any of this, and i have had a normal life. |

I would say that foster children may go through some of that stuff, but most of the adopted people I know, were adopted as infants and are very successful and do just fine in life. |

I'm adopted, and i'm pretty normal. I was never abused, emotionally or physically. I do have ADD, but thats a result of my bio parents genetics, no fault of my adoptive parents. |

Essentially no difference. If anything adopted children are better off because they tend to go to families who have a bit to spend on the kids and desperately want them. |
