Well, at least they aren't planning to adopt because they are infertile. |

And people say that intercountry adoptive parents have a "savior complex"! Now you're not just saving a child, you're saving the planet!
I've heard of the "Zero Population" thing, where a couple has only two children, to just replace themselves. But this goes one step further. |

Australia WANTS people to have babies! Our government is trying to increase the population.
Instead of being so "noble" why don't they go on missions to help the kids in the orphanages and poor families in these third world countries like Burma.
There was a baby whale in Sydney that needed parents where were they when its mother died? They could have adopted it...that's a greenie thing to do...
Seriously...if they want to adopt its their choice... |

THIS IS DISGUSTING!
As an adoptive parent to a wonderful little boy I resent this thinking that adoptees are no better than a piece of trash you would put into a recycling bin and "reuse" somewhere else.
What a horrible thing for any child to have to be burdened with "mom and dad adopted me so I could be 'recycled' since I got discarded by my family".
Makes me sick! |

Adoption going green?. LMAO...It sounds like pill popping to me. Herbs are getting more scarce. |

I have nothing but respect for people who feel passionately about their causes, particularly regarding the earth... HOWEVER, I don't like the idea of innocent children being used to further that cause.
That being said, I do know of several people who have decided that there are too many children in the world and not enough parents, so they have made the design to adopt. I respect and support that decision as it is not based on saving anyone, but rather, they WANT to be parents and have decided this is the way that makes the most sense to them. |

R they insane? Adoption is not about saving the planet, it is about the child's welfare. |

Can you imagine this becoming a trend or a law (Zero Population) hiding behind going green.Godly sweet jester but selfish depending on age and reasons...Blessings Yahoo |

What a great idea. I would much rather exploit another woman than create more people on this earth! Save the planet and screw the mothers! Just perfect |

Sure - why not? Go green! Kick a baby breeder to the curb. Down with human rights. Human rights are so last century anyway.
ETA - If a couple chooses not to reproduce that's great. But how much you want to bet that they will all be on the adoption forums a few years from now trolling for a baybeee? And whining that adoption is so haarrrd and ssooo expensive and that the unworthy, unwashed just won't give their baybeees to entitled green people. |

Well I'm happy to hear that they adopted. There are too many children out there that go without homes.
Can't say I really like the intent. I think it's ridiculous. |

i think its a good idea, there are so many kids out there that need to be adopted, and we are over populating. good for them. i would love a large family but my husband and i both agree that the population is rapidly growing, so we are only having 1 and plan to adopt others if we wish to later |
