i was adopted from honduras. i am now turning 25 in a few days. i have been wondering a lot about where do i go to get access to famliy that i still have there. my name is changed now to a american name as well both of my parents are americans. i never new spanish stating i was adopted since i was 7 months old. i have a a sister and a brother there that i have never met. my mothers last name riveria fathers name martinez. my first name before it was changed was jessina. thankyou

I successfully searched for my son's family overseas. What Linny said is right. Your parents should have some paperwork that will help you. My children's paperwork listed where they were born and what orphanage they came from.
Signing up for a registry is good if you can do that. With my son, I didn't feel that I could wait, plus I wasn't sure the family would have access to a computer. So I found a searcher. It didn't cost all that much, but you have to be very careful or you'll just get scammed. If you want more information about how to work with a searcher, and what to watch out for, email me. |

You will need to get your hands on all of your paperwork, including adoption papers, immigration/naturalization papers, etc.
Your adoptive parents more than likely have access to these papers.
Once you have the info, you can register on different adoption search registries to start off. |

wow i know how you fell i'm only 14 but i've always been curious about my biological parents as it happens the other day i found my bio dad on facebook and talked to him for the first time today i didnt feel comfortable talking to my adoptive parents about it so i still havnt told them so you could ask them about it and if you dont feel comfortable get in touch with your adoption agency to get some information. |

I'd start by asking your parents a lot of questions....like what agency they adopted you through for starters and then go from there. Good Luck! |

Have you asked your parents the information they have?
If you were adopted from an agency, I'd contact them to see if you can review your file...Unfortunately it probably costs money and will not contain any identifying information since that is against confidentiality and privacy laws. |
