Alien adoption - a moral dilemma?

If an alien mothership was sent to Earth, containing only the children of a dead planet & piloted by robots, would it be unholy for humans to adopt the orphans?

Throw the creatures on the grill and give me the robot. I need a housekeeper. |

It would count as a foreign adoption and as we all know here foreign or international (in this case interplanetary) adoptions are wrong. How do we know that these robots didn't steal these children away from their parents who love them only to feed the intergalactic interplanetary adoption industry.
Besides, even if we knew that they were given willingly by parents that were not coerced into letting them go with the robots it just wouldn't be right for us to take these little aliens away from their culture, their language and their heritage.
Earth first adoptions!!! |

That would come under interplanetary adoption laws. I'm sure there's a website that can give them in detail, after all this is the internet, and the alien parents could have done their research in looking for places to send the kids before the planet ceased to exist. (Hey that lot are right into interplanetary adoption...Earth is tha place.)
The alien kids are orphan's and need homes and someone to love them, God still could have created them....why place limits on him.
Then there's the poor robots that brought them here, are they doomed to a life of being fostered and misunderstood.... or will someone adopt them too...
(I didn't think of that.,..those filthy robot Alien kid traffickers...out to deceive us all with their lies and false innocence in the whole scam....details will be on the late news....) |

No, in a situation like that I think it would be totally appropriate. Just ensure that you incorporate their home planet into their daily lives, and I would definitely reccomend learning at least some key words in their home planet language. |

Of course not.
Just think, they'd be way cheaper since they're alien children. And no pesky parents to come take them back. What a win win!

Depends, did the APs destory the planet? |

Ship them all back to the dead planet. It would be a shame to separate the children from their culture, even if their parents did try to send them here.
Besides, I don't think we should help any aliens until we've helped all the children on our home planet first. Perhaps they could orbit until that time. |

you no that they would end up in a jar in a lab not go up for adoption |

Well, first we'd have to launch an inquiry to verify whether the adults were actually dead and the planet uninhabitable. It could be an issue of falsifying DNA testing or forging paperwork. I mean, how do we prove that these aliens are really orphans?
But even if it were the case and they were orphans, I think that we should send them back so that they aren't deprived of their culture and language. Maybe $30/month will help them get by in some kind of orphanage setting.
But hey, at least they'll have their culture! |

i'd say just to go back with the aliens if you're contemplating adopting one of them. |

Corn is not dog food! No wheat!

Yeah, right.
The mothership would be shot down over the ocean, the government would cover the whole thing up, and the children would wind up on slabs.
If it somehow managed to land, the redneck hicks of this country would have shot and killed anything that moved, and the only thing left would be beer cans and spent shotgun shells as far as the eye could see. |

As soon as the word got out that there was a tragedy on the planet, PAPS would be writing letters to their congressmen, senators and the Red Cross, offering to save the little tykes. There would be a waiting list of people wanting them, and they would be auctioning them off to the highest bidder. Six months later, they would be returned to the agencies as Failed Adoptions, and readopted by the next highest bidder, who would be investigating rebirthing so that they could be born again to be fully human, to a mother who would pump herself full of hormones so she could breast feed the baby so that she could fully experience motherhood. |
