Are you going to spend your holiday arguing with strangers on the adoption forum?

Are you going to spend your holiday arguing with strangers on the adoption forum?

We're going to visit my biological family. We're going to Legoland! For reals!

And if I have time, I'm going to thank my angel of a "birthmother" for making the loving decision to abandon me instead of "sacrificing me to the abortion machine" Yippie!
Of course she'll then probably look at me like I'm insane since she never considered aborting me.

Legoland! Cool! I am sooo jealous. I was majorly "neglected" as a child -- no Legos at all.
And how nice that you get to spend time with your family.

Nah, I try not to argue too much. I just quietly thumb down. And wonder of wonders, I didn't even get into an argument with my father-in-law.

It seems really quiet here, though. We put off most of the getting together with family until January -- after 2 years of my 70+ year old parents spending the night in either a plane or an airport, we all decided travel is too crazy right at the season -- seems like a good decision as both airports in question are closed.

Am I wrong though, or are you on a lot more this week than you have been for awhile? Nice to have you "back."

Happy ChannuSolistKwanzaaChristmaskah to everyone!

Hmmm... I could spend the evening arguing with family about politics... Or online arguing with strangers about adoption... I can't tell which sounds like more fun. ;)

Have fun at legoland!!!

i love that you're getting to spend time with your biological family for christmas..

as for you title question.. yes, i do plan on staying online most of the day doing this stuff.. my husband is in IRAQ and i don't live very close to any of our family, so its just me and my son at home. and he is spending the day watching christmas cartoons.. i mean, i'm watching with him but also doing this.. so yeah, this is what my christmas eve consists of. oh and i've been married a whole year today!!!

I'm spending the holiday with my husband's family. Since they're not "my" people, I might end up spending some time on their computer just for something to do. But we won't be there long. As soon as we come home, I'm curling up on the couch with my honey, my furbabies, some hot cocoa, and my Burl Ives to watch the tree turn and flash.

Nope. I am going to enjoy my family, all of them, the ones not biologically related to me, and the ones who were placed for adoption, but we still have contact with and consider family.

Oooh, Legoland!! I wish!

We are hosting a party for 18 adults and 7 children.....what was I thinking!! Unfortunately, we won't be able to get together with my child's bio family this time around. We did, however, get to talk with them by phone and we are also going to get together with my child's foster family after the holidays. I am SOOO excited to see them. They raised my child from birth, so they are VERY important to us, and we hope they will remain in his life for a very long time!
I will probably be here on Christmas day, since we aren't doing anything that day, but over the weekend, I will be swamped with Christmas stuff.
I am glad you are getting to see your family! Hope you have a wonderful time!

I am on the computer in between throwing things in and out of the oven. Later we are going to the cemetery to place a small battery powered xmas tree on my adoptive parent's grave.

Later tonight we are having home made cocoa, oyster stew and watching our traditional xmas eve movie.

Tomorrow my little sister (my birth mother's youngest child) will come over and we will have our first xmas together and call our mother.

Saturday I get to deal with the MIL from south Hades.

As for aruging w/ strangers...naaa I'm just going to voice my opinion, they can like it or leave it.

I can only say maybe.

Only if I have time. I have to go to every family member's house and tell them how grateful I am that they rescued me.
