Background search from adoption?

I am 13 years old and adopted. How can I figure out what my background is? My parents don't know....

OMG you guys are dumb! I don't need a freaking birth certificate! She could be chinese but still be born in Canada! Place of birth has nothing to do with it!

You can try the state...it is a start. If your birth parents want to be found they may be on adoption.com.

You need to get a copy of your original birth certificate that will tell you your mothers name and place of birth.

Your parents don't know who atleast your mom is? I would try and find your original birth certificate with her name on there and then go from there.

I just came across this and I have a possible child out there in Canada 13yrs old. Mom gave child up for adoption w/o permission. I have been looking though and I had no information other then Canada and year. I think it was a private adoption b/c she told me several times about a couple who couldn't have kids and I said no. She then disappeared for a year. I have searched but everyone tells me I have to wait till the child is 18.
