Biological Parents?

I was adopted from when i was first born. My parnets have told me from the start. I dont want to meet them but I'm curious to see what they look like and if they have other children. I don't want to make a big deal about it but I don't really want to tell my parents. And i don't think i will. But i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a website that is free to find someone ( there prob isn't but im still hoping)

THANKS

Gershom
I have all of the state laws listed on my website for free that you can check out http://www.adopteerights.net and then click on "searching" and you can find all the laws for the state, plus any free groups that help for the states. Plus there are some free names and address finders on the bottom of the state pages :)

i am in the same exact position as you are. i tried all kinds of websites i just typed stuff in google except its much harder for me because i was born in croatia so its much much harder to get in contact. i actually found my adoption papers in the house so thats where i got all my info from. you might have the same in your house but if not you can always just type stuff in on google and you should definately find a site to search for her

I think this is why adoptions should be open adoptions....
why dont you want to meet them?
I bet your biological mom has cried herself to sleep every night since she gave you up....
I'm sure she didnt give you up because she didnt love you,she gave you up because she did.........
It is your choice though,ofcourse...
I hope that you do get to see a picture of them and get your questions asked....

You don't have to tell anyone you're searching if you don't want to - it's about you - not about anyone else. If people tell you otherwise - you have the right to tell them to butt out if it.

I finally received my first ever photo 2 days before Christmas of my mother AND father together - they married just 6 months after my birth and had 3 more kids. We haven't met yet - we're taking things very slow. I was adopted 38 yrs ago.
It was the BEST Christmas present ever.
I have also been able to fill in those missing gaps that I've always had - and it's been very healing for me.

Some ides - first check out the link Gershom gave - to see if your records are available or not. Next.....

Add your details to the registries here -
http://www.isrr.net/
http://registry.adoption.com/

Check here for search help - and links to search angels -
http://www.adoptioncrossroads.org/

And check here for any support - it's the best online forum for adoptees I've found -
http://www.adultadoptees.org/
(no one there will tell you how you should feel - ever!!!)

All the very best with your search.

I hope you will consider talking with your parents as I would bet your adoptive parents are Expecting these questions from you one day--they may be ready and waiting to talk with you and support you in the interest you have. You might even find out that they have a picture sometimes that does happen.

I think you have to be 18 to find any info out. If you want to know this contact the adoption agency that handled your adoption (I'm sure there are papers around the house somewhere that you can find the name of the agency on) Once you get there name try using the Internet to do some research on them. Good luck

if your parents have been honest with you about being adopted, I think the least you could do is be honest with them about how you feel. If you just tell them about how your curious, they will understand (after all, they are your parents now, but they would expect you to wonder about your biological parents -its normal). They will be happy that you would be honest with them and not try to hide your curiosity from them. Also, if you tried finding it out yourself and they find out, then it will seem like a big deal, and they might be upset.

thats just my opinion...i mean, all parents are different -who knows, maybe yours would make it too big a deal -but generally they wouldn't.

also...i don't think there is a website that would just show pics of parents who gave up their kids -it violates their privacy, and if you gave up a kid, would you want your pic up so everyone knows?
