Are your brothers on your side? People want proof of abuse unfortunately there usually is none. You and both of your brothers should put in writing the abuse you suffered at the hand of your father. Take the three individual statements to be notarized. ( you can find them at libraries, banks etc.) That would be a start.

It would help greatly if you all are strong enough to press charges against your father. Call cps, call your local non emergency police phone number (they are so helpful for legal advice) and call the mother of the child informing them all.

You owe it to this child to scream it from the rooftops! Call your local news if you have to. Call local abuse centers and ask if they know any non-profit lawyers who might help you. Do everything and anything you can think of. You will probably lose a lot of family over this but do anything to save this child.

In the end, odds are no one will listen. At least you will know in your heart you did everything possible to protect her. Abuse victims often become victimized again when the truth comes out. Your credibility will be tested and you will be called a liar but stay strong. Being on the right side is never easy. My heart goes out to you. Please save this little girl. You are stronger than you know:)

call family services and let them know they will know the proper procedures to follow and can advise you

The only way to interrupt the process of adoption now, is to file a lawsuit against your father for assault and battery. Contact social services and/or the mother and inform them of it.

Unfortunately, unless its something currently happening nobody will listen.

Is there a home study being done? an agency or lawyer involved? Contact the home study caseworker (who should be contacting YOU, in any case!) and the adoption attorney, the adoption agency they are working with, the mother of the infant, HER parents, the father of the infant, HIS parents, CPS, and the police.

If worst comes to worst, attend the finalization hearing, and voice your concerns to the magistrate or judge there.

This adoption might still be able to be stopped, and you need to stop it at all costs.

Who are they adopting through? The county or an independent agency.

If you can find that out, you can contact them and tell them that you have important information on a prospective couple that is of vital importance. If you file a report with them, they must take you seriously because, as you have said, this child's safety is at stake.

First I would try contacting the birthparents of the child and explaining to them the situation, if that isnt possibe try the courts. Is there any documentation on what happened to you?
I really hope that you can stop this, but remeber that if you cant its not your fault, I am very sorry for what has happend to you.

I think you and your brother should inform the birth mother os this.

They will have to go through a homestudy, and that usually includes interviews with the parents' older children if there are any.

If you can find out the name of the social worker doing the homestudy, or the agency or attorney they are using you could tell them your story.

If you can't find this information contact the probate or family court in your area and find out which judges process finalizations and see if you can enter a statement to the file.
