I can have children, but I would much rather adopt a child. I am 20, and I am married. I don't know if I can adopt a child or not being on SSDI. I was wanting to look into the foster to adopt.

If you are married, then they look at the family's income. You need enough income to meet your day to day needs.
If you are adhd and bipolar, that would be of concern to agencies because it makes it quite difficult to parent with those challenges.
You are young still. You should be a bit older and married a bit longer to consider adoption.
Look into volunteering at your local hospital or day care center to give your day structure and purpose. It will ease the chaotic feelings and lift your spirits. |

If you are able to get pregnant and carry a fetus, please do. Adoption isn't about what YOU want; it's about what the child needs. Kids don't NEED to be anyone's fashion statement/cause of the month. They don't want to fulfill YOUR dreams. That's not their job.
Seriously, adoption separates a mother and her child. Although I applaud adoption from foster care (as I did it myself), I think your motives are impure and that doesn't sit right with me.
You're too young anyway. You need to be at least 21 to adopt. |
