it's such a strange situation...
i'm spanish,
i have a friend who wants to raise a child alone. he's spanish, like me, althought he lives in London. he claims he doesn't like to share the education and custody of his child with no one else, so he's thinking of adoption. but he always has the same doubt:
1. "could i raise a child without mother?"
2. "in case i could, would they give me the child althought i don't have pair?".

There are lots of great single Dads. The guy in London should contact the local authority and direct his questions to them - there are loads of kids in care who need a good home and I'm sure he'd be given equal consideration as everyone else.
I'm sorry someone felt the need to make fun of your English. It's actually very good and I doubt the person poking jibes is bi-lingual!

Yes, a single person may adopt a child in the UK. Whether your friend would be considered an appropriate adoptive parent depends on the local social services in the London Borough in which he lives. However, he can seek guidance in order to improve his chances of being approved. |

here in the states single people adopt all the time. A single parent's life isn't easy, but it's definitely workable and would provide the child with stability, love and nurture that he/she needs. I hope all goes well. Your friend should contact his local child welfare office and find out what the rules are there. |
