Can anyone help with an adoption profile?

Hi There

My husband and I are completing the adoption process and we are just starting to think about creating our profile. Does anyone know of any good websites that can help with the format and content of an adoption profile?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

to all of you who wrote back insensitive and ignorant comments, I'm not sure why you even bothered to take the time to comment.
My husband and I have tried to concieve a child for several years, which has been the most difficult thing we have ever gone through, we are also going through an open adoption agency. If all of you are so bitter and hurtful perhaps you need to seek some counselling to help you get through whatever is causing you to be so incredibly mean.

I am aware that it is not about marketing, and if you read my question carefull that is not what it was about. What I was looking for was how to format it and ideas of what content should be inputed.
Lastly, having volunteered for the CAS for several years, you shouldn't asume that the profile is not to adopt a foster child. Here in Canada, even when you adopt through CAS you are still required to complete a profile.

Lots of people are infertile. They don't come to Yahoo! Answers trying to figure out the best way to market themselves to get a womb fresh baby. How tacky. Do your own homework.

There is no need to market yourself in this way. There are 140,000 children in the foster care system awaiting loving homes right now.

Adoption is a social service for a child, right. It's not supposed to be about hunting down a 'situation' to exploit for your own gain.

Please think carefully about the morals and ethics of what you are doing.

The "Dear Birthparent" letter all ready starts the lies that will forever follow your child. As an expectant mother I was not a birthparent until after I placed my daughter. So the lies started right from the beginning

There is plenty of this crap online. Just do a search and copy and paste someone else's, they all boil down to the same BS.

What part of Canada are you in that you need to do a profile and dear "birth"mother letter to adopt through foster care?

The link below is about writing an adoption profile. At the end it has some dos and donts of writing it. I just googled "writing an adoption profile" and quite a few sites came up. I liked the way the one below was written and the suggestions they made. Asking on a site other than yahooanswers may be the way to go. Questions like yours usually aren't given the most polite responses.

Ten years ago I struggled with writing the dreaded profile letter. I wrote and rewrote and rewrote and fought with our social worker about it, but ultimately I had something that truly reflected who we were.

PS Our daughter's mother asked to meet us because we included a picture of us playing volleyball in our side yard. Ended up volleyball was her favorite sport. Who would have guessed that a net and a ball helped us become parents?

I don't know but all I want to say to you is I think adoption is great and the people who do it are great people so well done! I know when I'm older, I might adopt too!
