It depends on your age. If you are a minor, you must either have parental consent from your biological family to be adopted, or else be emancipated by the court. To be emancipated you have to prove you can support yourself, and rarely is anyone who is younger than 16-17 granted emancipation.

If you are an adult, then yes, you are free to find someone to adopt you if you are so inclined. They don't have the same care responsibilities as an adoptive parent of a child, but in the eyes of the law you would be their daughter.

If you are being harmed, abused, or neglected in your home, you need to call Child Protective Services or the police right away. Adoption and emancipation are both too slow and complicated to be a solution in an emergency situation.

If not, you really can't be adopted as a minor without parental consent or being emancipated.

no. but you can emancipate yourself, like, disown yourself from your guardians.

almost human
in lieu of emancipation, i found someone to agree to be my legal guardian so my parents would sign and i left home at 17. i never lived with my guardian, but struck out on my own, so it was effectively emancipation.

No, you cannot.

In cases of abuse you can report your parents to CPS or DHS and they will be investigated, but the allegations have to be proven before you're removed from the household.

If you just don't like your parents rules and such and there is no abuse (emotional, psychological, or physical) happening, you cannot be removed from your parents custody unless they willfully relinquish their parental rights.

You can also emancipate yourself from your parents, which means you get recognized by the court as mature enough to be your own legal guardian... To emancipate yourself you have to a) prove that you are mature enough to be on your own... b) prove that you have the FINANCIAL means to care for yourself, including housing, utilities, food, and such.
