I want to know if you are trying to adopt a child in Colorado, can you, or do you benefit financially?

Im sorry for some of the hateful responses youve had. Nothing in your question indicates that you personally wish to make money from adoption, that you are is a dreadful insinuation to make. Where I come from there is no financial gain or benefit for adoption at any age or on any level. (Australia). I too struggle to understand the US system which many on here claim allows adoption/fostering for profit. Sooo many people on here need to take a chill pill and allow others their right to their questions and opinions without making assumptions about their intent. |

they pay you a subsidy usually, but don't count on it to get ahead financially. You'll spend much more on the child than any money they'll give you. |

Not really, children are an investment, but the expirience and giving someone a family and more of a life is priceless. A smile is worth more than any amount of money. |

Wow, I certainly did not gain any money for adopting my son! If the child is disabled maybe you get a subsidy from the state, but that's with any child, including a biological one. |

Anyone who ask that question has to be up to no good. The idea of adoption as a money maker is more than wrong. A person should only adopt if it is in the best interest of the child and if the person adopting is of the right moral character. To do if for the financial gain is pure evil.
According to the law in Colorado, no person other than an adoption exchange or licensed agency may charge or receive money for locating or identifying a child or natural parent for adoption or prospective adoptive parent.
No person shall offer or charge any money or other consideration in connection with the relinquishment and adoption |
