Contacting my biological parents?

I am adopted from South Korea, and I would like to know how to contact my parents, if I ever wish to do so.

Im not really interested at the moment, as I have classes and stuff, but I would just like to know how it works...

Thanks.
Additional Details
By the way, my parents said I might have to be a certain age, and seemed to be open to the idea when I brought the subject up.

And I know there are certain people who wish not to have their children visiting after putting them up for adoption, and I dont think my biological parents ever had anything like that...Or at least to my knowledge.

Sorry, Im bad at explaining.

Hey Daisy:) I'm adopted from South Korea too. I'm 21, and was adopted at three months old. Were you adopted from an agency? The best thing to do is find that out first and then work from there. Are you 18? Most agencies require you to be 18 to give you information from your file, but usually your parents can sign for you to get it if you are under 18.

Usually the adoption agency will only be able to give you your file with non identifying information. That means you would not be able to identify your bio family from any of the info in your file. However, the US agencies usually are partnered with a Korean agency that may have more information available to you. It is difficult reuniting with Korean first families since there often isn't a lot of information available and the language barrier, distance etc, but it isn't impossible.

I'm in the process of searching myself....You can private message me if you want some help searching:)

Glad to hear you have parents who care. many parents who suggest they do not want contact change their mind years later. What sounded good at the moment doesn't always hold true later down the line. Your parents and your agency are the best places to start, then hit the internet for a search angel if you don't think you can do it yourself.

Hi, Daisy. There are several International Adoptees who post here who can give you some information.

You can alway start by getting as much information about your adoption from your parents as you can.
