Did you hear about the parents in Germany who listed their son on eBay?

Yes I saw that on MSNBC. I find that ridiculous that parents would put their child/children on the Internet for sale even as a "joke". That is just sick in my opinion. You never know what can happen to the kid/kids when you do that. I've even seen people on Y&A who are trying to solicit babies from women on here because they are infertile and can't have kids. There are a lot of sick freaks out there. It's a good thing that nobody bid on that baby. I applaud CPS or whoever runs the child issues in Germany for taking that kid away. I think those parents should face a fine and jail time for doing that. I don't think the kid should be returned to his parents. What if they do it again for real?

Thatâ€™s really sad, though it probably was a joke I mean seriously if they were really going to sale their baby theyâ€™d have a higher price then just a dollar fifty. Grant it this is nothing to joke about and the parents should suffer the consequences of their actions. People do sell babies on the black marekt and i find it quite sad that this couple would even consider joking about selling their baby.

I recall a while back I think there was something like this posted on Criags list about baby for sale.

Aloha Ma Girlie...My opinion for what it is worth is...I think we have WAY Too Many STUPID people in this world with Entirely TOO MUCH time on their hands...I believe this couple thought this was funny (I'm SURE their not laughing NOW) and believed this to be an amusing little stunt...I'm certain they will be investigated...BUT just found guilty of being STUPID (but Unfortunately there is no crime in that...)I think the child will eventually be returned to them...and in all likely-hood it should be...I think they showed Incredibly POOR judgment...but I don't think they were serious.

News report I read, said they did it as a joke. I don't see the humor but I am sure they wish they didn't do it now

I think they should be prosecuted for attempted baby selling. Here in the USA, if you rob a bank with a toy gun...you are still prosecuted for ARMED robbery.

CUH-RAZE-EEE!!! CRAZY. WTF? i mean damn they say you can find whatever you need in ebay, but this has gone beyond overboard. The sold him for about a American dollar$1. wow. i wouls say these ppl must of been on something, but it takes time and patience to list an item on ebay, so that cant be it. DUMBEST PARENTS ALIVE!!!

It was supposed to be a joke. I think everyone's lost their sense of humour. It's ridiculous that anybody took it seriously. Apparently, they've take the baby away from the parents and they now have to undergo psychological assessment. It's just ludicrous.

No one is laughing. Not funny at all. I don't believe they should lose their child over a poor sense of humor. When parents are out there actually abusing their children this prank seems harmless. As to my knowledge poor taste isn't child abuse.
