Do you think the holidays make people want more babies?

There seems to be alot of desperate questions here lately.

YES!!! Not only adopted babies, either. My BFF (during four years of ttc) would grieve through the holidays over the baby she had not conceived. She worried about every holiday season that her future child was missing out on, which was one year less that s/he would have to spend with his/her grandparents, who are all aging and ailing.
Her miracle baby is finally on the way, due in January (I get to be the baby catcher!). But it's been a really, really rough five years since she started trying. |

Yeah I think the holidays make people want to start perfect little families. And perfect little families are not born through foster care, but from having or adopting babies. I'm so tired of hearing about babies!!! |

God no for us. We always wondered if three would be it, or if we had perhaps room for one or two more.
We are exhausted. We are loving every minute, but nope, no babies! What I want for the holidays is peace and happiness for my children, fun for our family, and a very long nap! |

Yes. People want to buy Easy Bake Ovens and Transformers. And ponies. Dont forget the ponies. |

This would have been my daughter's first Christmas so lately things have been even harder on me...I'm grieving very hard for her. She was stillborn.
So I understand those who have lost children grieving more. |

Not me...Now that the boys are older their Christmas wish list gets very expensive. With my nieces, it has been a very busy holiday season. They have their Christmas Programs and parties. Thankfully, their wish list while pretty long, they are not very costly.
I do think the increase in questions from people wanting a baby has more to do with school being on Christmas break so we get alot of teeny boppers that think it would be "wonderful" to 'save" a baby destined for a life in an orphanage! |

I think that there ARE a lot of desperate questions on here lately because there are a lot of desperate people lately. This time of the year is SUPPOSED to be full of love, peace, joy and family. It isn't for everyone. This is the worst time of the year for suicides, and stress levels increase for everyone and about everything. It makes sense that this time of the year would point up a lack that may go unnoticed and unthought of all the rest of the year. For a lot of people, this time of the year is not fun; for many it is torture. |

I don't know. I've wanted another baby for over a year now. Christmas just seems to make me long for it more because it would be seeing another little one unwrapping presents or its eyes lighting up at the new things going on. Or even being pregnant at this time. Curling up with my husband for warmth and him rubbing my stomach. Even wearing those silly big bulky sweaters over a pregnant belly was fun.
So yeah. Even though I've wanted one desperately for over a year now holidays make me want it even more. |

Not me!!!!!
I spend way too much money on my kids, and can't imagine having more, plus it is hard to get out shopping with the kids.
I am excited to see their faces on the morning!! |
|

Birthers are NOT mothers
|
Yep, tis the season to make them and abandon them. Ho, Ho, Ho (literally)! |
|

IDK!!
 |
IDK, but I did get drunk 1 Christmas eve and September 11th we had a bundle of joy.
At the time baby was not on the "brain", Just Jager Bombs.
As far as the questions, I think it has less to do with Christmas than with Winter Break from middle school. I think we can all recall 1 high schooler who is labled a PAP becasue she would "like, want to , like, adopt a baby, like someday" |

Unfortunately, many people in today's economy are dumping their kids on social services.
In our area, 2 infants were left at hospitals, another 6 month old left at the office, and between Dec. 1, and Jan. 5, they're expecting around 125 kids to go into custody of DHS. The sad thing is, in our 5 county area, only 2 counties have a town above 10,000 people total, mostly retirees, and 3 of the counties don't have a town larger than 2200 people. In this entire area, there's only 2 hospitals. |

Not my fault either

Yes, a lot of desperate questions--right here.
