the story indeed did,
it was abandonment, and any movie relating in such a way with extreem love or rejection really get to me

Not tht one. Didn't really read it.
They didn't tell me I was adopted until the age of 16, however i do remember seeing an old Disney film called the mommy market.
I used to wonder if that's where they got me from, because I looked nothing like any of them.
I guessed i was the last one, because they definitly loved my sister more than I.
She was their 'miracle' baby. |

The abuse that the aunts inflicted on him really hit home for me. I just felt so awful for James. I imagines how he felt there all alone, hungry, shamed, unwanted,
abandoned and yet hopeful.....hmmmm
I felt as though I identified with him rather than wanted to rescue him....I hope that makes sense.
Although I wonder if a "real" child would have been able to endure that kind of loss and subsequent abuse to come out unscathed. I just do not know. |
