there's a lovely story that my mother used to tell me as a child, about a boy who cried wolf...and eventually, after so many fake cries for help, when he really needed it, nobody thought he was serious and he was eaten by wolves...
what you posted isn't an emergency.
what you posted isn't adopted related.
and lay off the caps lock...

ummmmm - you've posted this in the 'Adoption' section. |

you might want to let your buzz wear off so that you can read. you are not in the right section. also, very few will have much remorse for your poor decision making. sorry to break it to you.
personally, if my kid (16 yo) got drunk and wanted to find a way to con me into allowing him to go to a sleepover, i'd ground him for audacity alone.
go ahead, thumb me down dear. i'm a parent first, and have endured more than a low rating from a teen who didn't get their way.
ps. it's not polite to 'SHOUT' at people you are asking to help you. |

You were probably right to post this in the adoption section because they should put you up for adoption. Maybe they could trade you for a kid who can follow the rules. |

Bring on the low rating, little lady, cause I'm going to lecture you!
You do not "absolutely" have to go anywhere. You are grounded for being irresponsible. I would be paranoid if I were your parents, too. I wouldn't let you go anywhere until I was sure you grasped the concept of ILLEGAL actions, such as underage drinking.
Stay home, spend time with your family, and think about how much they must love you to set limits for your safety. |

Why did you put it in the adoption section.Dont ever drink alchol its bad they were right to ground you.I have never been grounded in my whole life since I never drink alchol. |

I was not going to answer this question, but I noticed you asked the same question or similar like 5 times....and now you put it in the adoption section.
1) This is not an emergency. An emergency is something like someone dies, someone gets hurt, a tornado destroys 3 towns, a bomb explodes, etc. While this might seem like a emergency, put things into perspective.
.....PERSPECTIVE
You have parents that care about you. They care enough to put limits on you to keep you safe.
Many people in this section had no parents or lost their parents, including me. I would have been very happy to have some parents care enough about me to ground me. No one cared about me at all.
Instead of planning to lie and break your parents' trust some more by trying to goto another party, why don't you stay at home and spend time with them...work on rebuilding trust and recognize that you are lucky.
Or volunteer at a group home for children with no parents or a modern day orphanage. Then you will get a slap of perspective.
Drinking at 16 is stupid. Getting drunk and not remembering things is stupid. You could get hurt, raped, killed. Your parents are trying to keep you safe....You don't realize it know because you are 16, but when you get older, you will be so thankful you have parents that care.

WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE DONE THAT (those of us that are normal anyway :] )
ok....
this is gonna sound so lame for a teen ( i should know, i am one) but...
the best thing you can say is that you wont don't it again. apologise and mean it, recognise why and how u upset them.
then give them options... like that they can pick u up and drop you off. (i know it seems lame but its really not that bad.)
And alcohol isnt that good. trust me you CAN have a good time with out it... i do :]
and i used to drink, it just makes you look like an idiot :]
but good luck anyways |

Give me a low rating if you want (just the fact that you made such a comment speaks volumes about your level of maturity anyway) because if you are looking for sympathy you can find it somewhere between $hit and syphilis in any good dictionary..
Grow up and listen to your parents! I don't think you can convince them of anything now that you have acted so irresponsibly already. Start to change and show them the change is permanent and then you will earn their trust again. Earn it...right, got that? It's not something that is automatic. |

You sound like me when I was your age. I would tell my parents the same thing that you are telling us. Trust is earned, and you broke the trust. I don't really think there is any "magic" thing you can tell your parents. Actions speak louder than words so unfortunately for you, you screwed up and now you are going to have to prove yourself to them. So are you REALLY going to your friends house and not getting drunk? You just said there is a party you HAVE to go to. When I was your age, I TOLD my parents I was going to a friends house and that I was not getting drunk.......but I still did. They saw right through me and grounded my butt over and over again. Yours probably know you are just going to do it again....sounds to me like you are....I would've. Not to say it is right or anything. |

Be honest with them let them know you wont do it again. ive been there done that, sometimes it takes them a long time to forgive and forget.
but now that I'm a parent ,if one of mine did it i would want some reassurance that they will be careful. maybe if you tell them that they will let up.
good luck. |

But going to that party is exactly what they DON'T want you to do... you're not *just* sleeping over at your friend's house, you're going to a party... which is exactly what got you in trouble the first time, right?
So basically, you want us to help you lie to your parents so you can go get drunk.
This is the WRONG WRONG WRONG forum to post this in! Just WRONG!
Adoption is different than 'How Do I Lie To My Parents.' It's kind of the other way around. 'How Do My Parents Lie To Me.'
whoops! |
