Okay, my adoptive mother had a heart attack scare this summer and it got me to thinking what happens if she dies. Would the court let me live with my father even though he is an alcoholic, or would I have to move to Quebec with my cousins and speak French and learn in French? Would I go back into the system? Or move with my creepy uncle? I am 13 btw if that makes any difference.

if its your adoptive father then you automatically would stay with him. The state wouldn't get involved. Unless he you or he felt its not the best thing for you and then it would be up to him where you lived or the state or social services would find appropriate housing for you.
