Friend having temporary custody?Help please?

Okay well, my mom is very ill...Mentally. And its not that I don't love her because i love her more than anything in the world. And that's why i've tried to put up with it so far. But its gotten to where she's practically incontrollable and won't let anyone help her at all. She's bipolar and skitz. And has seizures because of left temple lobe damage...and she's gotten to where she can't reason right. She's too depressed to get up off the sofa for five minutes...And I never get to do anything at school because she refuses to pick me up or do anything for me. Even if i have tutoring she doens't care and won't pick me up. So I walk home. And i have to do everything at home by myself. Cleaning...EVERYTHING. Laundry, dishes, cooking etc. EVERYTHING. She helps every once in a while but she stops, and says "im depressed " and leaves. I know well she has a condition i should be more sensitive. And thats true. Im never mean to her about it unless its something i really disagree with and she's being totally irrational. Especially about her medications. Her memory is bad and she forgets whether she takes her medication or not. And then to make up for forgetting or whatever she takes like two or three at a time. And im all O___O STOP! And she jsut wont listen. And wont go to a doctor.

So ive decided. I need to leave. Because its affecting me mentally. and its getting in the way of things at school. And making me depressed. And ive lost so much weight, and i dont want to Become anorexic like i did before..and i just want to be strong and healthy so i can get through school. And my friend amber offered to take care of me. Is their anyway i can arrange to stay with her? :____: Thank you so much <3

You can call the Child Protection Agency (CPS) and/or you can all adult protective services (APS) for your mom since it sounds like she can be dangerous to herself; either social service agency will get the ball rolling to get you the help you and you mom need.

Your friends parents could also help you with this since they will need to commit to taking care of you while you are in school and will need to talk with someone at some point anyway. It is possible they could get guardianship of you and maybe the social service agency can assist with this as well.

I think you need to take care of this now....I am sorry to hear you are dealing with this at this point in your life and good luck to you.

You mentioned you are still in school... Talk with a teacher you trust or perhaps your guidance counselor. They can help you find out more about what you need to do to find a safe and healthy place to stay.

it depends to how old u are i understand what u are going through but dont walk out on urs not her fault she is like she has a mental ilness

You need to contact your local government or child protection services to get the help you need and to get out of her way.. It is vital you do this immediately, because she could hurt you! The local services will take care of her also when you explain! ACT NOW!
