This is more for the regulars who know some of whats going on. trial is done and the gag order with it. I was denied the constitutional right to parental presumption. The adoption will not go through. hoowever due to the length of time the potential parents are now the managing conservators. how do i get it out so this nightmare doesn't happen again. My daughter is being raised by non parents who cannot adopt her.we(my lawyer and i) can't find a single case anywhere even remotely close to this. am working on website but need ideas, contacts,etc.

WOO HOO on the gag order. I was wondering the same thing on the appeal. Give me something I can post on myspace and our blog, I'll get it up there. I would contact the local papers and maybe even the
t v stations, see if you can get someone to do a story on it. Especially if you plan to appeal. They drug it out so long that they still get to raise your child. But you have made big head way. Good for you. |

I'm so glad the gag order has been lifted! My first suggestion would be to see if you can hook up with the adoption show, and link us to your web site. If you have anything that can be copied and pasted into myspace pages, blogs, etc., let us know. I'm not the best person to give advice about how to go national, but I'm sure others will come along with more info to help you out. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. Take care. |

Can you appeal the ruling to a higher court? If there are no similar past cases, this one will set precedent, and a dangerous one at that. I would appeal as high as you can go. |

I'm so sorry about what you are going through. I'm not real good at the website stuff, but what about major networking sites like myspace and FB, what about forming a group with yahoo? Perhaps start your own blog if you haven't already? Maybe send in a letter to the editor at your local paper? anything that helps get the word out. hopefully someone will come along with a lot of good ideas for you.

Not sure of your case but maybe you can find a way like this family successfully did to get custody of their child back. The media attention focusing on the unethical behavior of the "good christian kidnappers" helped the He family fight the corrupt US legal system.

I wish I had seen your mention of a gag order before.
ONLY federal gag orders are enforceable.
This was a no win situation from the beginning. You should have talked. |
