Wow, that was kinda sad. A great reunion and if money was the only reason they couldn't keep their own child, with the pressures of society to give their child up then it was definitely a senseless adoption. |

IDK!!

I can't help bet wonder what roll losing their child to adoption played in their reunion.
Just because someone went down one path following a relinquishment, doesn't mean that's what would have happened should they have parented. Sometimes a loss will bring people closer, or farther apart. Sometimes losing a child will give people the drive to "prove them wrong" about the stereotypes about first moms. |

Another preventable senseless adoption. |

All adoption is senseless.
I don't believe in "good reunions". Or rather it is an oxymoron, like "jumbo shrimp" or "happy adoptee". |

Here come the thumbs down...
There is a reason for everything. Who knows... if the mother would have kept her, there could have been strain between the parents and they could've never been together again... you never know.
The mother made the right decision at that time of her life. She did what she thought was best.
Good reunion? Yes.
Senseless adoption? No. |

There are reasons way women give up a child for adoption. That must be respected even if it is hard to understand. The important part is, have the adopting parents completed parenting successfully? Did the child benefit and was It loved?Meeting the birth mother opens up the questions and mysteries of why people do these things, but never forget, there were people who wanted the child in the first place. And to discover new sisters or brothers is an added plus, but the adoption makes the child a part of a different family group. It i is not ever wrong to meet like this is all parties are for it,but if the birth mother doesn't want to meet, that must be respected too. |
