Has Anyone Read "Hope's Boy" about a child growing up in foster care who went on to become an attorney?

Apparently, he went on to become an attorney but his specialized field of practice is child advocacy and working to reform the foster care system.
i was wondering if anyone read it and had any thoughts / reviews on it?

no, i it is not a sequel to "a child called it" (although i believe there was a sequel to that).
apparently, this young man survived a very abuse, unloving, cold and emotionally negligent life in foster care. however, through it all, he worked hard at school, got a scholarship and went on to Harvard Law School -- it sounds like he has since used his status as an attorney to work FOR the kids with a true sense of helping the kids in the system. I read a quick thing about it in my "Readers Digest" and have been moved by it. Just wondering if others had read it yet and their thoughts on it.

A child called it, about a boy and a man named dave, are great. They are all sequals to on anouther. It just shows that adoptees and foster kids dont all go down the path of becoming criminals.!! |

I haven't read it but I will now. I am a foster mom and have been for almost 3 years and It breaks my heart to hear some of the stories these kids have. |

Haven't read it, but it's now on my paperbackswap list.
BTW, the sequels to "A Child Called It" are "The Lost Boy", and "A Man Named Dave". I think he has written others as well, but those are the books in that particular series.
ETA: Wow...it's going to be awhile before I get this one. I'm #81 on the waiting list! |
