but on questions that are not from a person considering adoption, they give a real answer. I'm on to you!!
Seems like someone is soliciting for adoptions in a very sneaky manner. I find this very disturbing. Karma is a b***h. People should not be so unethical when it comes to adoption. It will come back to haunt you! Your kids will hate you when they find out the truth one day. Does anybody else agree? Additional Details The questions are usually stating "I'm considering adoption. What should I do..." and they usually respond "I know a lot about adoption. Please e-mail me". Then, she ends it with Love. Funny how when someone asks about foster care or the cost of adoption, she isn't quite so knowlegable. If she was answering every question, soliciting an e-mail, then I would say she is just afraid of being attacked on the forum. However, since she is only soliciting an e-mail when it's someone considering adoption, I think she is definitely soliciting!

If you mean soliciting to adopt, I have certainly seen that. I am not surprised, however. I had a friend whose married, pregnant daughter was working as a waitress and a woman left her a note soliciting her unborn infant.
Another friend's nephew's girlfriend was pregnant and she got 10 calls from "friends of friends" asking her to refer them to her nephew and the "birthmother" so that they could convince them to surrender their unborn baby to a good christian couple who could offer it more than they...R-I-G-H-T....
If a desperate woman will cut the infant from the womb of it's living mother and leave her to die I see little to be surprised about someone soliciting infants on YA. |

Y!A is not a place to come and look for babies. People just don't care or do not realize its unethical. |

I try to pm them but if they do not allow emails, I sometimes ask them to pm me. I try to give a very real presentation of what the mother is going to go through before surrendering, since I've been there. I know they will get a ton of solicitation and I try to even the playing field.
The word LOVE is a red flag for me. It's meaning totally distorted in my childhood and youth. I use it very sparingly and never with strangers. |

Maybe they are plain tired of being attacked by users who will thumb every one down and verbally attack any one with a postive adoption experience. Some are not bothered by this attack and can rise above it. Some just can't and prefer answering without the rude people descending down upon them. |

I agree with supercal. If you are pro adoption you get a lot of thumbs down. Maybe they have a personal situation they don't want to share here as there is a lot of negativity around these parts. To me this all seems like idle gossip guess some people just like to guess and makes assumptions about people. ummm... makes you wonder about them. |

I've noticed that recently also. And yup, I'm sure they are soliciting. I suspect it might be someone who was booted off before for soliciting, so they are being a bit less overt this time.
I say we all report them whenever we see them. Y!A gives us strength in number when reporting, if nothing else. Not cool in some cases, but people who would do this deserve to be ganged up on. |
