From what I can read off the site, this is simply adoption through foster care, facilitated by adopt america network.....at least initially. I think you are sent paperwork on adopting if you fill out their forms, but your information would either tell you to contact your local CPS/DSS or they would contact CPS themselves and give your contact info to them.....either way, you would complete paperwork for your local CPS and submit it back to them to start the process. So, yes, many of us are foster to adopt families. Personally, we are adopting a now 20 month old little boy who was 11 months old when he was placed with us. There are all sorts of children from all ages, races and backgrounds within foster care. It is a free or nearly free adoption.....so if this site is asking for any money to apply, do not go through them, as it costs no money to apply to adopt through your state. Some states require that you pay for the final adoption court costs/lawyers fees....which can run between 800-3,000. But many states will also pay that fee for you, essentially allowing you to spend the bulk of your money on raising the child in your care. Foster care adoption is, IMO, the most ethical form of adoption. |

I just checked out the website and it looks amazing.
I'm only 18 right now, but I have always wanted to adopt once I start a family of my own, I would love to do it through something like Adopt America. Sorry I didn't really answer your question, but if you're considering adopting from there, I would go for it. What they do is great for children. Good luck! |
